STICK GUNS looks at the instinct boys had for war deep within the local wood, as they seek out army games. Narrated from the viewpoint of a now thirty-something dad, expressing fond memories of a world where adventure was limited only by your imagination. A world where a good stick became a great gun.

“Stick Guns was filmed in Fleet, Hampshire – the town where I grew up during the early eighties and shot in the same wood that I discovered my first stick gun.

This was a time where children in the UK had only three channels on their TV sets, a time before Playstation or access to the internet, leaving me and my mates to make up the numbers in our games and depend on our imagination”.
